Appreciated safari on the logistics savannah of Norrköping

2023-06-30

Together with the large logistics companies Almroths, Bauhaus, Billerud, Holmen, Postnord TPL, Rusta, Stadium and the Enterprise Office at Norrköping Municipality, around 70 invited customers were taken on a bus tour. A unique initiative where the participants, through visits to the various companies, got a proper insight into freight flows, the proximity to the port and the fine cooperation between all parties.

The bus rolled out through the Pampus terminal towards Holmen’s saw and timber, onto Rusta, where coffee and a tour of the warehouse were offered. Postnord took all visitors on a tour through its entire, half-a-kilometre-long, building with fine premises and an impressive warehouse. At Stadium, the visitors disembarked and were greeted by music and heard the story about Stadium’s and Rusta’s collaboration with Alltransport and the electric truck that visits the Port of Norrköping 10-15 times a day. Of course, the driver Tommy was there to showcase the car. After that, the trip went out to Klinga and Almroths to give everyone a good understanding of the development possibilities in Norrköping with the proximity to the E4 highway and the port.

Tourguides were Magnus Grimhed, Marketing & Sales Manager, Port of Norrköping and Joakim Ljungqvist, Business Director of Norrköping Municipality.

– For the first time, we had an opportunity to showcase Norrköping as a logistics city in a unique collaboration with our major player and were able to give our customers a completely different picture of our role and the possibilities of logistics here. It’s incredibly inspiring to hear our big customers talk about their business, about why they chose Norrköping as their location and about the great collaboration they feel they have with us, said Magnus Grimhed.

– The day exceeded expectations, the nice weather in combination with our guests created a great feeling on-site and paved the way to profile Norrköping from its best side. A good opportunity to meet different players in logistics and understand how Norrköping plays into their business model and how we can contribute to strengthening their position in the market. The concept of using a physical visit to highlight all the advantages of Norrköping where different people describe their different companies, and how they think about both their work environment and their business concept, appealed to me enormously, said Joakim Ljungqvist.
