The Municipality of Norrköping will carry out planned maintenance work on Kardon Bridge during August/September 2026.
The bridge will not be fully closed, but one lane will be closed, which may cause traffic queues and longer transport times.
The planned start date is 3 August, and the work is expected to take approximately two months.
The work will be carried out one lane at a time. Traffic will be regulated alternately using traffic signals. This means that longer travel times than usual should be expected on this route, especially during peak traffic hours.
The pedestrian and cycle path is not expected to be affected and is anticipated to remain open throughout the entire construction period.
