During the autumn, preventive fairway maintenance is carried out in the port area. The work has minimal impact but involves increased presence of work vessels and barges. Measures include minor maintenance dredging, repairs of leading lights, replacement of lanterns on buoys/beacons, and removal of older wooden constructions in the Motala River.
