Closure of part of the Öhmans quay

2025-10-07

To keep the port’s facilities safe and in good condition, we regularly carry out maintenance and inspections of our quays.

During the latest inspection of the Öhmans quay, damage was discovered on some of the piles. Therefore, we need to close off a section of approximately 150 meters in the middle of the quay, as well as the RORO ramp area, until further notice.

This means that the quay is now divided into two parts – a northern and a southern section. The following bollards must not be used as of today:

Bollards 151–153
Bollards 167–170 (RORO)

We are aware that this work may cause some impact, but we are carefully planning together with our customers to ensure smooth operations and the best possible use of our quays.

  1. The quay can be used as before.
  2. The quay is closed
Exception for mooring: Bollard 150 (at gentle angles) and bollards 154–157 may be used for mooring.
Some vessel overhang from the east is possible, past bollard 158 and onto the closed quay section. This section of the quay must not be loaded.
  3. The quay suitable for crane loading.
  4. The quay is closed.
