As of 7 January, David Hellstedt is new Business Development & Sales at the Port of Norrköping. His first assignment is to build a deep understanding of the port’s entire offering – from operational activities to customer needs – in order to further develop business and customer solutions.
“What matters most to me is that we, as an organization, grow and develop together with our customers. The port is a central hub for trade, growth and transition. There are great possibilities here to continue to jointly create sustainable and competitive solutions,” said Hellstedt.
He joins us from Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Sweden AB, where he held commercial responsibility for the company’s inbound and outbound transports to and from the factory in Mjölby, with a particular focus on sea freight. The global disruptions of recent years have given him extensive experience in managing complex flows and working closely with transport partners. Previously, he has held similar roles at Saab, Siemens, Ideal of Sweden and Stokvis Tapes.
With his strong customer and buyer perspective, he sees great potential in his new role at the Port of Norrköping.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the organization and, together with colleagues and customers, continuing to develop the port’s offering.”
Close to nature – close to everyday life
Much of his free time is spent outdoors, with swimming, paddling, fishing and boating in the summer, and ice skating and winter swimming during the colder months.
“My family and I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible, even though everyday life with the kids’ activities takes up quite a bit of time.”
When he’s not out in nature, he enjoys following the Premier League and IFK Norrköping, and he also has a new project underway at home:
“I’ve just bought a welding machine, so that’s a craft I’m planning to learn now”, Hellstedt concluded.
We warmly welcome David Hellstedt to the Port of Norrköping!
