Grain and other agribulks
Located in the heart of a major farming region, Norrköping is a natural centre for the handling of cereals and other agribulks.
With deepwater facilities and first-rate inland connections, Norrköping is ideally suited to this large-volume traffic.
The agribulk trade is dominated by the farmers’ co-operative Lantmännen, which has two grain handling centres in the port. In addition, various independent agricultural service companies operate in the port.
Products destined for other Swedish ports are loaded in the Inner Harbour.
Deepsea traffic is handled at the Djurön terminal in Bråviken Bay, where export grain is transhipped from feeder vessels to large bulk carriers up to panamax size.
The Djurön terminal has a total of 270,000 tonnes of storage capacity.
